Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 has just update to Android 2.1 Eclair. The update has already many improvements like bluetooth functionality improvements with support for sending and receiving pictures, new back up and restore application with extended content back up, automatic synchronization of your contact pictures between Facebook and your phone book, improved ways of handling pictures, audio, text and numbers in your messages, and web browser improvements to bring new web browsing experience to the user. All of these improvements will make the Xperia X8 more powerful than before.
But could we update the X8 to Android 3 Gingerbread or at least Android 2.2 Froyo?, Maybe for Android Froyo could updated but not sure if X8 could support for Android 3.0. ...

Sony Ericsson has been release an update for Xperia X8, the Xperia Junior with less hardware specification compare to Xperia X10 family. It is getting the update the Android 2.1 Eclair update. This is great news for Xperia X8 user since Xperia X10 still delay the update for user in US.
Like the X10 Mini, Sony Ericsson put some new features on X8 as improvements to the X8 software. Fortunately X8 could use same software packages as the XPERIA X10 and X10 Mini, so when the software get updated, X8 is close behind to bring the same improvements.

TeamViewer for Android finally release for public. For now, it's Beta version. However, the apps is free and could download it from their website. The downloaded file is apk file which needed install manually to your Android handset not like install from Android market.
The beta version has limitation which has a time limit and can be used until the 31-Jan-2011. Sad to say, but if you need it badly you could cost some bucks depend the licensing option has release soon. But, they give us other options to use the final version of the TeamViwer App for free if use it for Non-commercial.

Sony Ericsson decide to delay the update Android 2.1. They posted "In the U.S., the testing process is especially rigorous, and can take months to complete, which is why we cannot announce the timing for availability of the X10 update in the U.S. It's not that we don't want to; it's that the timing is undefined until such testing is completed.". With this happens, users in USA have been no luck so far. They need to wait more and more while the rest of world has already the update Android 2.1 for their Xperia X10 handset.
Unfortunately Sony Ericsson still not set a date for when the upgrade will go through. So, this another bad luck for users in USA. ...
