Customer ID Error when Flashing ROM HTC Flyer
How to solve Customer ID Error message when flashing ROM to HTC Flyer. This error happens due to Goldcard issue. To solve the problem, we need to make a new goldcard. For your information, HTC Flyer has internal SD Card where Goldcard that already we make on external SD Card with MMC2 code. So, please ensure you copy CID correctly.
If we ever wrong when using SD card, SD Card can not use anymore as Goldcard. But we can create a new Goldcard with new SD Card. Just buy a 2Gb SD Card than follow thoroughly the instruction below.
- Format new SD Card with fat32
- Erase all data in SD Card
- On the Flyer, go to Settings, Applications, Development and then make sure USB Debugging is checked
- Run Goldcard Helper app, took the data through notes sharing for copy paste. On this step, we will have 2 CID. Please ensure you took the correct one.
- Go to the website shown on the screen and follow the directions to get your Goldcard image.
- Took the image than put into goldcardtool
- patch with gooldcard tool
- Copy ZIP file to the root of goldcard SD Card external (PG41IMG.zip)
- Run file RUU.exe when HTC Flyer connect to PC USB charging, USB debugging ON and fastboot OFF
- ROM flashing process will took around 10 minutes
