Google finally confirmed that the latest Android version, that is Android Ice Cream Sandwich, will be released in October or November this year. This is actually not a big surprise since Google has a lot to say in various forums that the next major version of the Android OS will be available later this year.
Only what is done by Google with the Android OS is still attractive to be preached. Moreover, Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich has been much awaited by the various parties, especially the Android mobile phone manufacturers like HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG, Sony Ericsson and others before they release their Android phones respectively. Of course, if Android phones are released already supports Android Ice Cream Sandwich will be a better selling point especially to the rigors of selling mobile phones in the world, especially the market of Android phone itself.
Eric Schmidt as chairman of Google’s has reaffirmed that the next major version of Android will be released in October or November. So for now this is something we can do is waiting. Because the latest version of the Android OS promises many new features to improve the performance of the Android phone itself.
As with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread version which is the newest version for Android smartphone and Android 3.0 Honeycomb is the newest version for Android tablets. So with the latest version of the Android OS, Android applications can run properly when installed directly on the smartphone or tablet Android without needing to make changes such as using the LCD density changer or any other kind Android applications to adjust the width of the display Android tablets.
With capabilities like these will certainly be very beneficial for the users of Android and the Android tablets. No more distinction between two types of Android devices that are currently on the market.
Of course, during the launch of Google’s Android Ice Cream Sandwiches will be continued with the launch of the Nexus generation smartphones as evidence that the latest version of Android is ready for use en masse. Just as previous generations of Nexus smartphones generation always get the latest updates from the Google Android OS, let’s hope HTC Nexus One and Samsung Nexus S to get the latest update to the Android Ice Cream Sandwich. If this happens, then the possibility of Android phone which same level with the Nexus can be updated as well to Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Thus, the Xperia X10 Android phones can be updated to Android Ice Cream Sandwich such as when receiving an update to the Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Just hope but hopefully it comes true.
