The old fashion of Android handset, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, has delayed to release the update. This is unhappy condition for most of the Xperia X10 user since so many latest android handset has been upgrade to the latest of android version, at least they have android 2.1 Eclair before coming update soon to android 2.2 Froyo.

And now, as their containment action to entertain the Xperia X10 family user, Sony Ericsson launch the exclusively a new android app instead the update, called ‘Happiness’ in the UK. The happiness application relates to various deals, bargains and special offers that can be shared with your relatives. Some of the offers include a 25% discount on shoes, 2-for-1 pamper treatments and a free milkshake. They are marketing it quite heavily, I noticed a full one-page advert in this morning’s London Metro newspaper.

Not sure why Sony Ericsson called the app as ‘Happiness’, is it to expose the negative condition related to the Android 2.1 delay for Xperia X10 handset. This app is very very funny to out now, because what we need is the update to Android 2.1 or Android 2.2 not the silly app. If only app, we could find the better ones in Android market, for paid app or just install the free app.

So, hopefully Sony Ericsson fulfill their latest promise to bring out the update Android 2.1 at the end of this month, October, because if NO, perhaps we don’t care anymore with the update. Than start to take a look for other Android handset from other vendor or manufacture.
