Hotmail for Android

I am very happy when I hear Microsoft plan to release Hotmail for Android. And now I use it to manage my multi Hotmail’s account. This is a good step from Microsoft to release their Android apps to help their Hotmail’s user like me. This is like a Microsoft’s strategy as part of its effort to re-energize the email client.

Hotmail for Android is available for free download from Android Market. I just surprise when I get the push email service from Hotmail with supported by SEVEN. Previously, I use K9-Mail to manage my multi Hotmail’s account but I’m not happy with it. Hotmail for Android is the right answer for me to replace K9-Mail as native Android application to handle my Hotmail’s inbox.

Unfortunately the Hotmail for Android is not available for all Android OS versions since it requires Android 2.1 as the minimum requirement before Android phone could install the app. But it is not a big deal because the newest Android phone which available now in Market mostly using Android 2.2 Froyo with supported to upgrade to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Recently I use Hotmail app in my Xperia Android phone since its first release. The Hotmail for Android performance is quite okay but I still need more time to review this app since not many emails come to my Inbox. But it’s promising and once again I love it.
