Good news for Xperia X10 user. Now, we could use custom ROM Android 2.2 Froyo because one of XDA member forum has release custom ROM AOSP Android 2.2 Froyo.
Please notice for now, some features still not working like video playback, phone dial out loop, Black and White camera, and codec’s are messed up. But hopefully those issue will be fixed soon. The alpha version is quite stable and will make it much better as well as user feedback.
Once more, installing custom ROM is tricky and risky, please ensure you follow the instructions and visit the thread XDA forum to get more detail and update regarding this custom ROM installation.
Installation Instruction:
- Download the ROM package
- Unpack it to the root (main folder) or your SD Card
- Connect your phone in USB mode Debugging
- ADB open shell, switch to root user (SU)
- Issue the command:

- When installation is finished then reboot
