Motorola Droid has chance to get their update. The update is more closer to Android Gingerbread. But still no word regarding the Gingerbread upgrade, most probably Droid will receive it once Google launch it to public.

So what’s new update for Motorola Droid for now?, The official Android version of the latest update is 2.2.1. The update is Froyo family, because the update version using 2.2 as the prefix. The update reported would be going out in the coming day, OTA Over The Air will be the best way to get the update. Just check the notification if update come to your Droid.

The update will bring along general maintenance tweaks and update some apps such as Twitter app, latest interface Amazon and News & Weather widgets, enhanced GMail user interface, and provide the improvement of Exchange ActiveSync.

Even the update not major, but the update getting closer to the Gingerbread. Soon the Gingerbread release to public by Google, Motorola will release the new update and hopefully, the one is Gingerbread.
