Finally Samsung Wave runs Android 2.2 Froyo after a guys from Polish forum Bada has beed released proof video about Samsung Wave runs Android Froyo instead of Bada OS. As we know, Bada is the ambitious OS from Samsung and to mark the bada OS, Samsung has already release Samsung Wave as the 1st phone with Bada OS. But now, Samsung Wave has opportunity to run Android OS.
On the video shows the Samsung Wave S8500 boot with Android 2.2.1 Froyo ROM of Galaxy S. Actually the both have same hardware and on this project, Polish hacker successful to port Android OS on Samsung wave. According to the hackers state that it is in early stages as the phone boots to Android OS. Need more time to debug even for now the phone allows using Wi-Fi as well as GSM network.

Not only the Android OS could run on Samsung Wave, any Android app has confirm could work also except the widgets and themes. Though not all works perfectly, this project must be appreciated and supported because to continue the project, they will continue after buy a new Samsung Wave phone.
On the recent stage of the project, CPU stability has not been achieved thus no other features are functional. However, since the the Wave S8500 carries the same 1GHz Hummingbird CPU found in the Galaxy S to run Android on the hardware is not something new.
The project actually is great news, I will forward it to my friend who love Samsung Wave phone. How to Install Android OS on Samsung Wave is different things because the project is still on early stage. I just afraid if my friend doesn’t want to convert his Wave to Android OS. But might be if the project has already on stable stage, more Samsung Wave owner will freely and no doubt to migrate their Bada OS to Android OS.
