The latest Sony Ericsson Android smartphone, the Xperia X8, will launch in UK through O2. It will put on the store shelves in September. Unfortunately, the Xperia X8 is an ‘old’ Android 1.6 but with sophisticated features with a compact 3-inch touchscreen display, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and a 3.2-megapixel camera.
The Xperia X8 offers two color covers, white and blue covers. Pricing and exact availability have not been announced at this time. But surely, the price is more cheaper than Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.
However, Xperia X8 still doesn’t have any news regarding the update to Android 2.1 or Android 2.2 Froyo. With just the 600Mhz of processor, it could be update up to Android 2.2 when for Android 3.0 perhaps impossible since the minimum requirement for Android 3.0 processor is 1Ghz.
Anyway, with the price less than Xperia X10, Xperia X8 become the starter Android for Android beginner user. But, we need to know how much the price of Xperia X8, if prices are not much different better pick up the Xperia X10.
