The cheaper Android phone from Sony Ericsson has just passed through the FCC. The device is Sony Ericsson Xperia X8. Unlike the Xperia X10, the Xperia X8 will be sell unlocked for less than $300 before the carrier subsidizes the handset.
AT&T will be the one carrier which release the android phone to the market, but no official word has been confirm. However, with the price less than $300, it’s mean the device will not be the smartphone of our dreams. but still could be decent nonetheless.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 has many features like 3-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480×320, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a 600MHz processor, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS an the old fashion Android 1.6. Not sure why Sony Ericsson still use old Android 1.6 when the latest and hottest Android 2.2 Froyo introduce to the market. Like Xperia X10, Sony Ericsson still insist to use Android 1.6 as their default Android Operating System version. But hopefully, the update for Xperia X8 to Android 2.2 coming shortly or at least come together with update Android 2.2 for Xperia X10.
So far the release date and pricing of Xperia X8 has not yet been available but we ensure to post here once the device coming out to the market. Just often visit here to know the latest information regarding Xperia X8.
