The good news for Xperia X10 owner just received for us. Xperia X10 has its chance to upgrade to Android Gingerbread. Even the ROM is not an AOSP ROM release but Sony Ericsson developer has already give us opportunity to take back Xperia X10 get their position as the high-end Android smartphones with latest kernel of Android Gingerbread.
Hope it can be seen from the latest video, it is simply an emulator for Gingerbread that shows people what they can expect from the latest release. This is SDK Dump, slow and without any hardware support. Even the Android 2.3 Gingerbread has minimum hardware specifications, hopefully there are few barriers that should stop X10 owners seeing at least a custom Gingerbread ROM at some point down the line. Please checj out the video below to increase the expectation of the presence Android Gingerbread on Xperia X10.
Again, This is not an AOSP ROM release. It’s just something to play with in a spare time. To install just boot into xRecovery -> install custom zip -> select X10-2.3-preview-signed.zip
Once more.. Please do a full wipe before installation!
