Sony Xperia Android Smartphones Upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean fever has been spread to around the world right after Google unveiled its latest Android OS version. At this moment Google also launched its first Android tablet called as Nexus 7 with some new features from Android Jelly Bean that already available on the tablet. A few hours after Jelly Bean fever, many online sources provide the leaked ROM of Jelly Bean to allow Android fans to port the Android Jelly Bean on Galaxy Nexus.

This is not shocking us because Galaxy Nexus is made by Google like Nexus 7. But this moment has chain reaction, when the others Android manufacturer will release an upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean since many Android smartphones have higher specifications compare to galaxy Nexus. But as we know, some recent Android phones still asking to upgrade to Android 4.0 ICS like Sony Xperia smartphones. So, if you don’t have Google phones like Galaxy Nexus, you should be more patient to enjoy the Jelly Bean on your phone.

sony xperia upgrade to android 4.1 jelly bean

The good news just coming for Xperia fans since Sony will launch its next Xperia Android phone called as Xperia SL. The phone most probably the successor to the Xperia S, but there is no anything specific about the phone. Currently Xperia S recently launched on At&T as a mid-range smartphone where it has a 720p display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and older Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 1.5GHz processor. Sony Xperia S is just receiving an update to the Android Ice Cream Sandwich but now the phone is one version behind the latest of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Sony Xperia SL most probably uses a newest processor and hopefully Android 4.0 ICS upgradeable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It is very important to ensure Sony as one of the leading Android’s manufacturer in the world. Providing the new phone must following with the latest Android OS version, So Xperia SL must be as the first Android smartphones from Sony which run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as default.

How about the older Xperia smartphones?, hopefully all Xperia line up 2011 get the update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. But for Xperia phones 2010 such Xperia X10 we can say no official upgrade to the higher Android version except Android 2.3 Gingerbread. But once again, hopefully outside there many independent Android developers spend their time to port Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM to Xperia X10.
