This would seem to be news that is awaited by owners of Sony Xperia S, Sony Xperia S ready to receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in next a few weeks. But most probably the update not release by Sony but Independent Android developer such as XDA developers member forum or through Modaco forum. It happens after Google released the source code for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean through the Android Open Source Project.
The developers can start their work to dig into the code to port Android Jelly Bean run on Android devices by modifying the Android OS by adding, removing, or tweaking its components to adapt with the existing hardware which owned by the developers. Sony Xperia S is one of the nice Android smartphone from Sony with awesome hardware specifications and just receive an official update to Android 4.0.4 ICS.
However no news regarding official update for Sony Xperia S from its manufacturer but we believe it will happen in time but don’t expect too much because official update needs more procedure before release to public.
Unlike the official update, the custom ROM or custom kernel for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will release as soon as possible to get the feedback and will fix if any bug or add some features as request. Sony Xperia S hopefully will become one of the Android smartphone that receive an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean even though custom ROM.
