The Sony Ericsson update roadmap has been leaked online, and according to Sony Ericsson UK said that the Android 2.1 update is due for release before the end of September. This is good news because the update a head 1 quarter earlier of the original Q4 timeframe.
However no details information provide this time from Sony Ericsson. Since the end of September just in 2 weeks again, So just wait the update come to your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 handset. Hopefully, the update will available through OTA Over The Air as easy method to update and upgrade Android handset.

Starting yesterday, 31st october 2010, finally Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 get the precious long waited Android 2.1 update. This happen will consider as promise come true since its delayed several times due to some bugs. As we know earlier, the Xperia X10 update will include also X10 Mini, X10 Mini Pro handsets, the update itself will begin receiving the Android Eclair update yesterday. But the update still only available for certain region like in Nordic countries, while for European countries will get the Eclair starting today on November 01, 2010. Then after that, North America will get their chance by the end of November.
The update will come over the air, OTA, but hopefully we could update manually to Eclair ...

Android is the hottest gadget now in the world. Many vendor release their smartphone with android inside and public very happy with it. The Android is own by Google but release the source code to public. With this strategy, Android predicted as the 2nd OS platform for mobile in the end of this year. But I believe, this predicted is wrong because Android will become TOP OS platform for mobile.

The cheaper Android phone from Sony Ericsson has just passed through the FCC. The device is Sony Ericsson Xperia X8. Unlike the Xperia X10, the Xperia X8 will be sell unlocked for less than $300 before the carrier subsidizes the handset.
AT&T will be the one carrier which release the android phone to the market, but no official word has been confirm. However, with the price less than $300, it's mean the device will not be the smartphone of our dreams. but still could be decent nonetheless.

The good news for SE Xperia X10 owner due to the Android 2.1 update will be available soon on this October/November. This info captured when the Sony Ericsson roadmap has already leaked on Internet. The roadmad stated on German language but the informations contain has enough to know when the update for X10, X10 mini, X10 mini pro and X8 will release.
There are three updates upcoming, 1.6x, 2.1, and 2.1x. The android 2.1 is expected in October/November with 2.1x following in December/January. This means that if 2.2 is coming at all, it will be at least in 2011.
