Just receive good news yesterday when Xperia Android phones upgrade to Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Referring to SE Blog, they plan to upgrade the entire Xperia phones to Android 4.0 ICS. SE plans to merge Xperia experience with new features in Android 4.0.
With this announcement, Sony becomes the latest manufacturer to apply Android 4.0 ICS to their current smartphones to follow what like HTC and Motorola announced to offer Android 4.0 ICS updates for their existing Android phone. So, hopefully the update version of Android 4.0 ICS will be available for each Android smartphones in early next year.

However not all Xperia Android phones will get the update since SE just confirm to release an update of Android 4.0 ICS to entire 2011 Xperia portfolio phones. Sad to say but it happens. The company just refers to following products such as Xperia arc and arc S, Xperia PLAY, Xperia neo and neo V, Xperia mini and mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active, Xperia ray as well as Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman.
Yes, Xperia X10 Android phone is not including in the plan. No specific reason yet why this great phone is not support by SE to update to Android ICS. But we believe somebody out there will release soon custom ROMs for Xperia X10 smartphone with Android 4.0 ICS. Because now we just hear that the biggest Android developer team, CyanogenMod, already starting to work to add Android 4.0 ICS to the next version of CyanogenMod’s custom firmware for smartphones and tablets.
Until now Sony is not release yet more detailed information regarding release date and global availability for Xperia Android Phones Upgrade to Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
