Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 Android phone has already support WiFi as one of the connectivity feature. But Xperia X8 unable to detect the WiFi signal with the WPA2-PSK Authentication method. The problem is not happen when we just set the wireless router without any authentication a.k.a OPEN. But We don’t want use OPEN method since we need to protect the WiFi signal from illegal use from unwanted user.
First suspect is the its router, but it is nullified since the netbook and notebook could connect to the wireless router without any problem. So, the second suspect is Xperia X8, however after do some adjustment on wireless router, Xperia X8 now could connect to the Access Point and browse to the Internet especially to the Android market.
With this finding, the Xperia X8 as the suspect is nullified also. So, the problem is on the wireless router configuration. After change the channel to auto, problem is gone.
what adjustments to do on router and how to do them…. plzz xplain them in detail….

@bhaskar: just select your channel of AP to auto, don’t use any channel.
I had the same problem. I installed the software from the sony erikcon website to my computer, and then followed the process for updating the phone software. That did not work, since I had the latest software already. So then, I tried to REPAIR my phone software, and after that was done, my phone was functional again, and the wifi works without any problems.
Requirements:
* A PC connected to the Internet (preferably broadband)
* USB phone-to-PC connection. Please see the accessories compatibility list for your phone.

and install it on your PC.
2. Run the software on the computer after it is installed.
3. Follow the procedure for UPDATE or REPAIR (if you already have the latest version).
